I found this hutch on Craigslist for $75 and immediately jumped on it! I love so much about it, from the chunky crown on the top to the inside lights and the curves/design on the bottom portion.
A lot of people that saw these before pictures thought I was crazy for painting over the dark wood. However, what you don't see is that the wood has really weird dark speckles all over it which ages it a lot in my opinion. It also darkened our dining room so much and since we had dark floors, I had to lighten it up.
It looks like a whole new hutch! It really brightened up the room and we used a really good paint on it that hardens like a shell. It is actually used for kitchen cabinets a lot of the time. It is Benjamin Moore Alkyd Paint.
