DIY Ottoman Tray

This has seriously helped keep our remotes in one place and it is also nice to be able to set our drinks on this!

We started with a 24" by 36" pine board and bought some 1"x3" sticks of wood for the edges. We cut them at 45 degree angles to length around the pine board. I would recommend attaching with a nail gun rather than doing it by hand with a hammer and nails. It will make your life easier! Then we stained with dark walnut stain and put 3 coats of Polyurethane- lightly sanding in between coats.

You can customize it any way you like. We have made them with no sides and added hardware as well. I even played around with stains and have come up with some really cool custom colors!
